Finding a school to learn shoemaking is difficult as there are not very many of them anywhere in the world. This list was started to help students find a place to study. If you know of a school that is not
on this list, please let me know and I will add it.
I do not endorse any of these establishments specifically, this list is purely to assist people wishing to access a school which teaches
footwear manufacture.
Obviously shoemaking/boot making can be learnt at home, but if you can get some sort of assistance when starting out, it will make your job easier.
There is so much information to absorb like the use of tools and how to hold them, that are difficult to grasp from a book, and learning from an experienced teacher can be of immense help and cut down the learning time.
